2019 Wahoo Swim Practice Schedule

The general team and Mini Wahoos practice from the Tuesday after Memorial Day until the last Saturday in July. Practice times are in the afternoon until the Fairfax County Public School year ends; at which point, practice times shift to the morning.

Daily afternoon practices start Tuesday, May 28, 2019

Below are the practice sessions by color and age group.  We expect swimmers to attend their age group practice. If for some reason you are unable to attend your age group practice, please speak to the coach or a team rep.  When practices transition to the morning schedule on June 17, 2019, swimmers are expected to attend their age group practice.

The first practice for Swim School will be on the day of the first morning practice.

The final practice for all swimmers not competing at Divisionals will be Tuesday, July 23, 2019, the Long Distance Swim.

Consistent attendance at practice enables a swimmer to reach his or her potential; missing practices can impact a swimmer's ability to swim in meets.

Swimmers, please come on time and prepared with everything you need for a successful practice—suit, goggles, cap, towel, and water bottle. Team members must obey the coaches and follow all pool rules.

Parents should hold all comments or questions for the coaches until after practice is finished. Once morning practices begin, parents and siblings are not allowed on deck during practice. Please sit in the pavilion or in the grassy area.
