This message is your weekly reminder of upcoming events and important information for Walden Glen. 

Important Information for Old and New Members

Pool Hours and status are listed at the top right side of the website. If only the hours are listed on the website, we are operating normally. If there is thunder, the pool will close for 30 minutes after each thunder clap, and staff will make every effort to update the status to show the time of the last thunderclap. Please visit the website or call (703) 451-9503 if you are uncertain about pool status. 

DIVE WELL CLOSING AT 4:00 pm on Thursday, July 3 for Dive Meet at Walden Glen  The Pool will be open for Quiet Swim Only beginning at 6:00 pm.

POOL CLOSING AT 5:00 pm on Monday, July 7 for Swim Meet at Walden Glen. Pool will not be open for member swimming.

DIVE WELL CLOSING AT 4:00 pm on Tuesday, July 8 for Dive Meet at Walden Glen  The Pool will be open for Quiet Swim Only beginning at 6:00 pm.

For all of these events, members are welcome to stay and watch the meets or take advantage of the reciprocal agreement to swim at Rolling Forest Pool (7011 Flax St, Springfield, VA 22152).

Upcoming Walden Glen Events:

Friday, July 4 (12:00) –  4th of July Wings Contest and Potluck
PLEASE RSVP! Concessions will provide the burgers and dogs, and should bring a side or dessert to share. If you want to enter the contest, bring your favorite wings and enter to win “Best Wings” bragging rights for the season. Please RSVP so we know how many burgers and dogs to buy. We will be accepting donations at the party to cover the cost of the hamburgers and hotdogs.

Saturday, July 5 (7:00 pm) – Teen Raft Night (13+)
Calling all 13+ teens!  Bring your favorite raft and join us for raft night!  The pool will be open for all members until 9:00 pm during this event. Teens can stay until 10:00 pm for an extra hour of fun.

Saturday, July 12 (7:00 pm) – Over 21+ Adult Party
Walden Glen is known for having an epic Adult Party each year, so come on down and join in the fun! It’s a great way to make new friends and to see a whole different side of the Glen! This year, our theme is GLOW, and the cost is $25 per person. See all the details and purchase tickets here.

Sunday, July 13 (6:30 pm) – July Board Meeting: Our July Board Meeting will be Sunday, July 13 at 6:30 pm in the pavillion. All members are welcome to attend. This is a great chance to come by, ask questions and see what being a board member is all about. We need volunteers like you to help us keep the pool and all our activities going strong!

Weekly exercise classes/events continue at Walden Glen!

Serene Sundays: This is Adult Only time (21+) for the first hour of operations on Sundays (11 am – noon) a chance for adults to enjoy quiet lap swim or just adult “hanging out” time by the pool.  

Yoga Flow & Roll with Darina: Sundays at 11:00 am
Please bring a yoga mat and towel. Classes will be canceled in the event of rain. $15 for each 55 minute class; Cash, Check or Venmo: @Darina-BROWN.  Questions? Looking for a low-impact way to stay fit and healthy?  Look no further than Aqua Kick.  Meet Jen Whitesel…WG’s own, who has been leading this class for 14 seasons! She is AFAA (Aerobic Fitness Association of America) Certified, ATRIC (Aquatic Therapy and Rehab Institute Certified) and a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant, who has also treated in the water for the past 6 years. She has had a black belt in Tae Kwon Do since 1996 and taught land kickboxing for 10 years prior to teaching in the water.

Did you know Walden Glen has joined with TGA Fairfax to bring tennis and pickleball programming to the Glen? TGA makes it convenient and fun to learn and play! This summer, join us for a variety of week-long camps and evening clinics where players will develop skills, build confidence, and ignite a lifelong passion for play — no experience required.
