Hello Members!

Just a few more days until the pool opens, but we have so much going on!  There are a few events and other details that we wanted to let you know about before opening day, so you can mark your calendars now!  Make sure you scroll down to the very end to get all the important info! OPENING WEEKEND

The pool will officially open at 11:00 am on Saturday, May 24. During the Memorial Day weekend, prospective members and guests of members are free, no guest passes needed. Our hours will be Saturday (11am-9pm), Sunday (11am-8pm) and Monday( 12 -8 pm).  

On Sunday, May 25 at 4pm we will hold our annual Memorial Day Potluck. Please RSVP online and join us for this potluck dinner. Let’s start the summer off right with great food and great friends! Bring your favorite dish — enough for your family and to share. Drinks are BYOB or can be purchased at concessions. BEYOND OPENING WEEKEND

Starting on Tuesday, May 27 pool hours will revert to school day hours of 4-8pm weekdays and 11-9 on Saturdays, 11-8 on Sundays until the last day of school on June 11. After school lets out, our normal hours will be 12-8 pm Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and 1:30am-8pm on Tuesdays and Thurdsays and 11-9 on Saturdays, 11-8 on Sundays.  You can always look up the hours at https://waldenglenpool.org/pool-hours/ if you have any questions.

Late fees for membership will kick in too. If you haven’t already paid your membership for this summer, please do so soon, or you will be assessed a $50 late fee starting on Tuesday the 27th. If paying by check, no need to go online, just drop off your check with any board member or with the lifeguards at the pool and we will manually mark you as paid. There is a 3% electronic purchase fee added to all online transactions, and the installment plan option will no longer be available.

Serene Sundays begin on Sunday, June 1. This is Adult Only time for the first hour of operations on Sundays (11 am – noon). This is a chance for adults to enjoy quiet lap swim or just adult “hanging out” time by the pool.  

Sunday, June 1 at 11:00 am is our Welcome to Walden Glen Brunch. Join us at the pavilion for a welcome, potluck brunch with old and new friends. Bring a breakfast item to share while we welcome (or welcome back) new members, sponsors and returning members. Children are welcome to join in the brunch, but will not be able to swim until noon. Sunday, June 8 at 5:00 pm is Family Bingo Night.  Bring your family down to the pavilion for lots of fun and prizes. Rounds will start at 5:30 pm. $5 for books of 10 games available for pre-purchase here: https://waldenglenpool.org/family-bingo-2-19-2/

Our annual Hello Summer!  End of School Party! Will take place on Wednesday, June 11 from 4-6pm. Join us for games, treats, and fun in the sun!  We will have Rita’s Water Ice on sale for $4, pizzas and an extra surprise. https://waldenglenpool.org/end-of-school-back-to-pool-party-2-19/

It’s not too late to join the Swim, or Dive teams or the Swim or Dive Schools. Afternoon practices for the swim and dive teams will start on Tuesday, May 27 (Swim/Dive schools start after school lets out).
