Since its inception in 1971, the Walden Glen Wahoos Swim Team has been an active NVSL team in swim and dive.

We promote the philosophy of the Northern Virginia Swim League—A love for the sport, advanced aquatic skills, teamwork, and the principles of good sportsmanship.

The Wahoo philosophy encourages our swimmers to excel in effort, team spirit, and good sportsmanship in the sport of swimming. We honor this through the distinguished The Wahoo Award.

Coaching and training are geared towards ALL swimmers to improve each swimmers’ technique and times in different events and find the positive aspects within their swims.

Friday night Pep Rallies enhance team spirit……Meet themes encourage creativity… Monday B Meets test training ….Saturday A Meets promote competition….The Wahoo Team members are courteous, enthusiastic, have a good time, and commit to team each summer.

The Northern Virginia Swimming League was founded in 1956 to sponsor competitive swimming and diving in and among the community swimming pools in the area known as Northern Virginia and to develop the children participating in this program.
